Hi Marcus et al.

I have now loaded the software successfully. I had to force the
installation through a driver from Windows Device Manager (thanks Andy).
It still used the contents of the CD but I was able to complete the
installation and the video now works. It didn't crash anything.

NB: I still need external speakers even though the ACER laptop has
internal speakers that work OK.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

Regards

Barbara Olde

For other people's reference, here are some suggestions on Barbara's
problem, from another mailing list - the US Megaconf mailing list, which
coordinated the Megaconferences (mass h.323-based conference), held with
the Internet2 Members meetings over the last few years.

I'll forward any interesting content from that list to here.

Barbara - it'd be very useful if you could please post back to the list
when you've solved this problem. The mailing list archives will become a
very useful repository over time.

Cheers,
        Markus

download the latest from Polycom. The warning is just that Microsoft
doesn't recognize the certificate. That's no big deal.
